Téléavia
“TELEAVIA, design also matters”, this visionary motto appeared in 1963, more than three decades before Apple’s design revolution started. Thomson Company which owned TELEAVIA managed to get the famous designer Roger Tallon to revolutionize the shape of the TV sets. He later said to explain the trademark’s success and longevity: “It was the first time the shape, the function and the material absolutely intertwined”. Today, TELEAVIA is still an icon with TV models exhibited at the MOMA in NY and in other design museums around the world. |

Sonolor
SONOLOR, launched in 1946 by André Bazin, became a French respected radio and TV brand for forty five years. SONOLOR portable televisions, auto radios and even game consoles were a success. The brand was supported by massive sponsoring, such as the Tour de France. In the early eighties, Nokia purchased the SONOLOR trademark, adding to the range a game console (see picture). SONOLOR has real popular roots and a true French spirit; the brand would support these values when relaunched on the market. |

Widelux
WIDELUX is a famous trademark created in Japan back in the 1950s. WIDELUX is a synonym of great panoramic cameras: shooting with an angle of 140° (usual cameras can only get 60°). The WIDELUX cameras manage this trick thanks to a 18mm lens rotating on an axis. WIDELUX trademark has still a lot of fans and users: one of them is the actor/photographer Jeff Bridges who made a whole book of his panoramic pictures. Forums and websites are constantly mentioning the WIDELUX cameras which are sold second hand for 1.000 euros. With its unique history and such a reputation, WIDELUX needs to live again. |
